Welcome to the Off-the-Wall plays!!
The off-the-wall plays are a series of comedies about the antics of a small local amateur theatre group called (surprisingly) the Off-the-Wall Theatre Company (no connection with anyone living or dead, of course). The plays are all based around a central core of characters, most of whom will be familiar to anyone who has spent any time in Amdram (and you know you're in Amdram when your furniture spends more time on stage than you do...)
These plays were written by Nigel Holloway for a small local amateur theatre group called the Concept Players Theatre Company - again, no connection, of course!
If you're looking for some fun shows to put on, you've come to the right place. Some of them require the actors to sing various short excerpts from Gilbert and Sullivan (or Offenbach in Prima Donna), while others require no singing at all.
So wander round - you can find details of the individual plays here, as well as podcasts/audio recordings of several of them - including Ripping Off Angels, Big Idea and Prima Donna - to give you some idea of what they're like to perform. And if you'd like to know more, don't hesitate to email us on info@off-the-wall-plays.co.uk.
Big Idea, Ripping Off Angels, Thesps and Murdering the Mikado have now been published by Lazy Bee Scripts - more information on these from them!
We hope you enjoy our Off-the-Wall plays!
